HOW TO GET HERE

The Estancia El Ombú de Areco is located in San Antonio de Areco, core of the gaucho tradition. Areco is only an hour away from Buenos Aires city, which makes it a convenient and comfortable destination for those who live in or visit the city.

How to get to San Antonio de Areco from Buenos Aires city?

  • Panamericana, Pilar branch, which becomes Route 8
  • At km 110, take the ascent to “San Antonio de Areco / Baradero” and turn right (towards Baradero route 41, paved). Do 1 km.
  • Turn right again on Route 31 (where the sign indicating the direction to the Estancia and the Industrial Park appears) and drive 5.5 km until the entrance to the Estancia, on the right.

By Car:

Take Panamericana North access, Pilar branch. When it becomes National Route 8, continue along it until km 110. Take the exit to “San Antonio de Areco / Baradero” and turn right (towards Baradero route 41, paved). Do 1 km. When you reach the junction with Provincial Route 31, you will see the sign that indicates the direction to the Estancia and the Areco Industrial Park. There, turn right again to take route 31. The 1st. km to the industrial park is paved and the remaining 4.5 km are dirt road. On the right is the entrance to the Ranch.

Note: it’s important to always take Route 8. Sometimes the GPS suggests taking Route 9 as the fastest option, without taking into account this alternative implies driving 40 km on dirt road.
