In 1880, General Ricchieri built what is now Estancia El Ombú de Areco, preserving the elegance of its original architecture. The rooms, restored with a contemporary design, maintain their period floors, ceilings, and woodwork, offering a unique experience that blends history and comfort in perfect harmony.
More than a century later, in 1993, Eva Boelcke opened the gates to both national and international tourism, welcoming each guest with the warmth that always defined her. Since then, El Ombú has become a place where tradition, nature, and hospitality come together to create unforgettable experiences.
Today, her sons Pablo and Diego continue that legacy, keeping the family spirit of the estancia alive. With dedication and a personal touch, they open the doors of their home so that every guest can enjoy the comfort and amenities of the property always with the feeling of being at home.

At El Ombú, Argentine tradition is lived every day. Our gauchos, true men of the land, share their work and customs with every visitor. The 300 hectares surrounding us are in full agricultural and livestock production, inviting guests to explore wide, authentic landscapes.
The experience is rounded out by our gourmet local cuisine, crafted by a professional team and adapted to all dietary needs and preferences. Asados criollos, open-air breakfasts, homemade desserts and snacks are all part of a stay where every detail is carefully considered.
An invitation to connect with history, nature, and the warmth of a welcoming family.
